Black and White

By Cheruboy 9 years.
I drew the picture with lead pencil then used neon glow in photoshop making the glow black instead of grey. I then coloured areas in white.
Ian T is right! Above is an oryx, an indri, and a penguin.

The other little stripey guy at the back is a tapir.

Summer!

Mr Icecream attacks Earth in Summer! By Cheruboy 9 years.

Jacquelynn asks how do I do this?
1. I drew the picture with lead pencil.
2. Scanned by Mum into Photoshop CS. Mum copied the picture so I can keep a black and white one and I can colour one, then leaves me to colour.
3. I used tools pencil and paintbucket to colour. I changed colours using the eyedropper tool and the colour picker. Sometimes I looked at how it looks with different filters. I yelled finished.
4. Mum overlayed the original black and white on top of my colour copy to show the pencil lines better. Then made it smaller, sharpened, and changed into a jpeg. Then put online. Soon I can do this myself because I watch and remember how.

Envy

I wish I was Super Dude. By Cheruboy 9 years.
Ian T suggests get a scan done in pure black and white (at 300dpi if possible), adjusting the light/dark to get the image fairly clean, then play around with dropping some colours in using the paintbucket tool, in a graphics program like Photoshop or Paintshop.

Mum scans at 300dpi but sometimes I don't have time to clean or colour on the computer. I have LOTS of homework. I am in 4th class at school and practice drawing at school all the time. Sometimes my drawings are hand coloured later.
